Moving Towards GeoSmart Africa

Africa is the world's second-largest and second-most populous continent. Currently, investment within Africa is gradually increasing as investors within all industrial domains envision and predict the outstanding potential the continent has to offer. The Geospatial era has also seeped into and influenced the way the public sector and private sector now think, plan, prepare and process. The advances within Geospatial Technologies such as LIDAR, GIS and GeoCloud and many other integrated technologies that are offered in today's market can move Africa into an even more advanced and modern way of thinking. The ability to collect data and analyze information from marine to historical landmarks, the ability to store information in cyberspace without purchasing an external hard drive, the ability to three-dimensionally view a blueprint for a skyscraper and also the mere innovations of finding your way around a geographic space you are unfamiliar with. These are just some of the 'smart' geospatial technological advancements that will offer African market and industry to ease growth and maximize productivity.
